FH Handmade Australian Clay - basic Galvanised Iron Dunny
An Australian Icon is the Galvanised Iron Dunny (Toilet)
With wood heap at the side, making it customary to bring back an arm full of wood for the kitchen fire. There were many unwritten rules when building a dunny. One of the most important was, to have it facing the morning sun, this enabled the sitter the have the door open, not only to enjoy the view but to also get warmed by the sun. The door had to swing in, so it was possible to kick it shut fast if someone was coming.
